I am a user experience researcher based in the Greater Toronto Area. There are an equal number of people and animals in my household, which is an example of poor design. I am much more thoughtful in all other areas of UX.

I love that user experience means researching and designing for someone else, and that knowing that “someone else” gets to be a part of my every day. I believe in understanding the stories around us- the stories of the people using a product, the stories of the products and brands themselves, and the stories that unite the two.

Before becoming a researcher I was an elementary school vice principal, a teacher, and an animal trainer at a zoo. The diversity of these experiences has certainly shaped the way I view the world- as a place where empathy, trust, and asking the right questions can help you solve the right problems.
